District-Supplied Device

• PASD supplies Dell Windows laptops to students in grades 3-12 and iPads (9th generation) to students in grades K-2.  General repair, troubleshooting, and support for District-Supplied Devices are provided by PASD Technology staff.  Devices shall be returned to the District at the end of the device’s lifespan.

• All PASD students must bring their fully-charged district device to school every day.

• All District-Supplied Devices require Device Protection Plan coverage ($50/device annually; $150 maximum per family, annually), which covers one unintentional (“accidental”) damage incident per year. This annual fee will be charged to a PASD student’s School Pay account.
o The first unintentional (“accidental”) damage incident each year is covered by the initial $50 fee; the District will charge a $50 deductible for a second incident and $75 for a third incident.  Families are responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement beyond a third incident.  More information on the Device Protection Plan can be found in the PASD Technology Handbook.

• PASD Technology maintains a secure, filtered wireless network for supplemental personal devices.
