TATU Club Members Visit Washington D.C.
Posted on 05/23/2016
Six members of the Phoenixville Area High School Teens Against Tobacco Use (TATU) Club traveled to our nation’s Capitol on April 27, 2016. They met with Congressman Ryan Costello in order to promote FDA oversight of all tobacco products, including the e-cigarettes and argued for increasing the legal age for buying tobacco products to age 21.
Following their meeting with Congressman Costello, a member of his staff gave the students a personal tour of the Capitol and a view of the House chambers. Accompanying the youth group were: Phoenixville Area Middle School Club advisors and teachers, Kevin Corcoran and Gregory Fox; Communities That Care mobilizer, Dolores Winston; and Phoenixville Hospital’s Coordinator of Tobacco Control Programs.
